What I'm Doing

Now that some extra thought has taken place, let me give you the gist of what I'm doing:

• designing a clothing mini-collection.
• constructing said mini-collection.
• blogging about it. (hi!)
• making my friends model for me.
• putting together a presentation of my sketches vs. physical creations, explaining my process, this blog, my inspiration, et cetera.
• selling all things created either through this or an etsy store.
• donating proceeds to a charity that works to provide clothing for those that don't have it, the logistics of which I'm still figuring out.

I'm starting to collect inspiration pieces already, and they'll be assembled on a board like this one by Tavi to show at my proposal interview. I took a class on fabric styling/board creating at FIT last spring, so I'm pretty stoked about that part.

Oh, also! In a fit of school-loving inspiration, I've decided to create a piece as an ode to The Academy.  Can you say graphic oversized tee with "knowledge, vision, integrity" blasted across the front? I can.
