Jill putting up with me and trying on ucky muslin pants (check the necklace too!)
Here's the deal about this process: it takes for-freaking-ever and the only thing that looks relatively attractive or impressive is the final product. Meaning that my harem pants, my precious babies, got a lot of skeptical looks when I was fitting them on my darling model. And, to be fair, they are kinda ridiculous in their current state: all loose brown thread and frayed hems and ripped seams. The important part, however, is that they fit, and when they're totally finished, made in a great stretchy fabric, they'll hang beautifully. Not to mention...THEY FIT which means my pattern worked out perfectly. Yay!
I also fit Adria in the maxidress. Well, the top part anyways...it basically fit, the only thing holding it back was, again, the fact that it was a muslin. And that it was without the possible hidden zipper. (Did I tell you about when we were zipper shopping and out of allllll those colors you saw here, they had no black?! I know.) So really, we're in great shape. More fabric cutting today...some gem polishing and jewelry making as well. I also really need to get around to refining some sketches that I altered in my head...so much to do!
